SUPPLIER SPOTLIGHT; for a long time we have been wanting to share with you some of the passionate, hardworking individuals and businesses behind the ingredients we use at #hahnandhamlin. This week we want to tell you a little about the @sheoakbaker sourdough we use - and all our guests ADORE. The wonderful Gabi of @sheoakbaker makes all her sourdough using freshly milled flour. And the wheat she grinds herself....it comes straight from the family farm in Lameroo. South Australian sourdough through and through. Here's a little from her website. "Literally, bread that is paddock to plate. The wheat is grown on the family farm in Lameroo and is milled moments before mixing into the dough, where depending on the loaf, is then blended with other flours sourced from South Australia. The Wholewheat Flour contains 100% of the whole wheat kernel, thus these breads contain the mineral rich bran and vitamin-E rich germ in their original proportions. The grain is milled daily, by grinding the grain slowly to preserve the vitamin and protein content and in turn allows the natural oils to shine in a creamy, fragrant, and nutritionally superior wholegrain flour, and loaf of bread". Making authentic sourdough is a labour of love. A multi day process. Gabi's dedication and passion for artisan baking is obvious when you speak to her. And her bread is quite honestly some of the most delicious sourdough we have ever tasted. We are excited for you to experience Gabis artwork next time you visit @hahnandhamlin. @applewooddistillery Signature Gin has become a South Australian classic and we will never stop loving it! At Hahn & Hamlin we currently have 14 #southaustralian gins on offer including this beauty. There is sure to be one you haven't tried before. : And all our gins are served with local @bickfords mixers, herbs, SA fruits and native ingredients.
Desserts up! New Summery additions to the dessert list including our local almond Baklava with Grilled Stonefruit and Strawberry Gum Eton Mess.

Tonight is our last dinner service before Christmas. 🌲🌲🌲 The team will be taking boxing day off, but we will be back to normal hours on Friday 27th with all our Summer dishes and refreshing SA beverages for you to enjoy your Summer holiday. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
